Ms. Dana Simpton

Dana Simpson is thrilled to have joined PL Prep at Sam Houston as the new librarian/media specialist. Although her previous career was in healthcare, her passion for working with students was sparked during her time performing pediatric ultrasounds in North Carolina and Texas. In 2017, she made the decision to switch to education and started a master's degree graduate program with teacher certification at SMU, which she completed in the Spring of 2019. Ms. Simpson realized early on in the program that the library would be the perfect place for her to make a difference in students' lives. As a result, she began TWU's School Librarian Certification program in Fall 2022, and she is expected to graduate in Spring 2024.
