The Personalized Learning Experience

In the Oak Lawn neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, Personalized Learning Preparatory at Sam Houston is a Transformation School catering to PK3- 5th-grade students. At PL Prep, we use blended learning, a combination of traditional and online learning strategies, to develop a learning environment that challenges all students to excel. Our students demonstrate their knowledge through comprehensive and relevant assessments, and they receive frequent feedback to help them track their progress. To increase student engagement, we structure our classrooms to encourage meaningful interactions and diverse learning opportunities that promote student ownership of their learning and accountability of their progress. Our teachers strive to create an environment where students can identify their strengths, areas for growth, and aspirations. Empowering students to take ownership of their learning and advocate for themselves is critical to students' academic success at PL Prep.
